Budapest. Meeting Places – Tallinn café interiors

12.10.2005

'Meeting Places', the photo exhibition exploring Tallinn’s café interiors throughout the 20th century, opens on 12 October in the Central European Cultural Institute (Budapest Rákóczi út 15).
The vernissage of ‘Meeting Places’ takes place on 12 October at 5.30 pm.
The exhibition shows cafés as a part of urban style of living, which is private and open at once. The historical focus lies on the mid-twentieth century, as it was the time of rapid changes in Estonia, which is easy to follow also by the example of the café culture.
‘Meeting Places’ is compiled by Kai Lobjakas from the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, designed by Pärtel Eelma and brought to Budapest by the Estonian Institute. The exhibition stays open until 2 November.
Further information is available from the Estonian Institute in Hungary.
