18.11.2005

This autumn Estonian musicians perform together with Argentine tango drummer — at the jazz festival "Jazzycolors" that takes place for the third time.
After two years the festival has won quite an acclaim amongst Parisian jazz audience. Estonian representatives experiment twice, with tango musicians from Argentine.
On 18 November the concert takes place in the Czech cultural centre, presenting a mixture of the tango programme of Villu Veski, Tiit Kalluste and the Argentine drummer Daniel Astor Piazzolla.
On 19 November the venue is one of the most respected jazz places in Paris, "Les Gemeaux". The programme focuses on the septet's (in addition to Veski, Piazzolla and Kalluste, also Andre Maaker, Oleg Pissarenko, Leho Karin and Taavo Remmel) more jazz-like repertoire.
On 20 November an extra concert takes place in the hall of "L'Archipel" in the framework of one of the oldest tango festivals in Paris, "Paris-Banlieues-Tango". The tango programme has been successfully performed both in Estonia and abroad.
Festival "Jazzycolors" is organised by the representatives of various cultural institutions under the umbrella of FICEP. The concerts of Estonian musicians are supported by Yamaha France and the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
