24.02.2006

To celebrate the Estonian Independence Day, an exhibition of watercolours and textile paintings by Léna Köteles is opened in Szolnok.
Léna Köteles is a Hungarian artist born in 1960 in Leningrad, Soviet Union. She has studied at the Moscow Academy of Textile Art and the Hungarian School of Applied Arts. Léna Köteles lives in Hungary, but, having spent a large part of her childhood in the North‑East Estonia near Narva, she continues to visit Estonia during summer vacations together with her own children.
The works exhibited at the Art Salon of the Ferenc Verseghy Library (Kossuth tér 2.) are inspired by Estonian nature – mainly of the sea and costal landscapes.
The exhibition stays open until 24 March.
