Budapest. A concert of Luarvik Luarvik

08.04.2006

On 8 April the Estonian group Luarvik Luarvik gives a concert in the café-cinema Szimpla in Budapest.
Luarvik Luarvik was founded at 1998 — the band’s name refers to a character in the sci-fi novel ‘The Dead Mountaineer Hotel’ by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky and of the Estonian cult movie based on the same novel. Since then the band has travelled through a myriad of styles from progressive synthesiser music to jazz-rock and has now arrived at a rather limitless punk, trying to re-interpret it’s own musical past as well as. Until now Luarvik Luarvik has produced two records and given concerts in all the possible places from jazz festivals to underground nightclubs.
Luarvik Luarvik’s concert in Hungary is made possible with the help of the Estonian Institute.
