Tallinn. New issue of Estonian Literary Magazine

10.04.2007

The first issue of this year’s ‘Estonian Literary Magazine’ has come out.
In the English-language biannual publication, Arne Merilai writes about Viivi Luik. An excerpt of her ‘Seventh Spring of Peace’ in the translation of Madli Puhvel is also published.
Livia Viitol dedicates an article on novelist Mats Traat. In this issue the translator Jean Pascal Ollivry and the author of 869-page German-language history of Estonian literature Cornelius Hasselblatt, have a say. As always, the magazine offers short overviews about recent books, by Janika Kronberg and Rutt Hinrikus.
The magazine is available at the Estonian Institute in Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Budapest and Paris, as well as in the diplomatic representations abroad.
